“The Lion’s Storyteller” Mobile Interactive Program
The National Park Service ask us to develop an interactive program that interprets the unique story of slavery at Kingsley Plantation. The challenge was to use program design and technology to allow the user to remain immersed in the interpretive experience and never have to physically interact with the device.
Our solution was to leverage the Apple iPod/iPhone platform and the capabilities of iOS to develop a cutting edge program that uses a combination of WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The visitor triggers multi media events by organically wandering the site. Supplemental content is provided to allow the visitor to further explore certain topics. This program is also sight and hearing impaired accessible.
The program won the 2013 National Association of Interpretation award for media.
