The DeBakey Foundation wanted to create a program to educate and empower young people to avoid gateway drugs as a precursor to more dangerous addictions.
Our solution was to develop an environment that is distinct and visually stimulating to immerse the visitor in a different world. We created a full multi media program that leverages the lessons learned from previous anti-drug campaigns and current approaches to peer-to-peer adolescent communication. This required working with teachers, law enforcement experts and a team of Ph.D. child psychologists to develop a program that speaks peer-to-peer with the target audience. The entire experience is designed around the social and peer group interaction dynamics of fifth graders.
This project has received awards for design and content. It was also recognized by the National Drug Education Council for innovation and use of technology.
